Terms & Conditions
- Full payment is required to secure a flight ticket.
- Flight vouchers are valid only for the period specified on the flight ticket. Failure to take all reasonable steps to fly within this period will result in the loss of the flight without refund.
- Vouchers may be extended for a further 12 months after the expiry date, but this will be subject to an additional fee of £50 per person. In some exceptional cases we will extend the validity of a voucher without charge, for instance if passengers are unable to fly through pregnancy. In all cases passengers must request an extension before their voucher expires.
- The gift voucher is not redeemable for cash and First Flight will only consider refunds in exceptional circumstances. Requests for consideration must be made in writing and any refund will incur an administrative fee of £40 per passenger.
- No cancellation of flight dates by passengers will be accepted after the initial check-in (usually during the morning of the day before the flight or on the Friday morning for a weekend flight). Substitutes however are acceptable.
- If a flight has to be postponed due to weather or safety reasons, First Flight cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience or expenses incurred by the passenger. The flight will be rescheduled on a mutually convenient date.
- If we are forced to suspend flying for a prolonged period during our main flying season due to restrictions imposed on us, which are totally outside of our control, we will extend the validity of the gift voucher by the period of the restriction.
- The decision to fly rests with the pilot and he will, under no circumstances, jeopardize the safety of the flight.
- If in our, or the pilot's reasonable opinion, passengers under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs when arriving for their flight, they will not be allowed to take part. No refund will be given in these circumstances nor will they be able to re-book their flight.
- Due to certain weather conditions and at short notice, passengers may have to fly from alternative launch sites from those requested. If this will cause problems, passengers must advise First Flight prior to booking a flight date.
- Failure of passengers to arrive on time for a pre-arranged flight will result in the loss of their flight without refund.
- Any medical conditions that may be relevant to passengers flying in balloons must be notified to First Flight prior to booking a flight date.
- First Flight operates under an approved CAA licence DBO 096 and flies within their strict guidelines. The company carries a combined single limit insurance policy for passengers and third parties of at least 2 million. Passenger's personal possessions are carried at owner's risk.
- We cannot supervise vehicles parked at the meeting place. Vehicles and their contents are left at your own risk and no liability is accepted for any loss or damage to your vehicle or contents unless it is due to our negligence.
