Ballooning after the winter ...... 5.4.13
We are out ballooning this weekend after a very long winter. Fields have dried out and sunshine for Saturday. Please call to book your flight date.
Summer Ballooning returns ...... 18.7.12
After a spell of dreadful wet weather, we are ballooning again this w/e. The recent unusually long spell of wet, unsettled, weather has been down to the position of the Jet stream, a high altitude wind that controls the path of the weather systems as they cross the Atlantic. This has at long last moved to the north of the UK which will allow high pressure to build over our region. So I will be flying our Hot Air Balloon this weekend from the Bristol and Bath area in the evenings and hopefully an early morning balloon ride from the Mendip area on Saturday morning. If we fly from Bristol we will use our regular launch site within the grounds of Ashton Court or if we fly from Bath, we take off from Royal Victoria Park in the heart of this beautiful Georgian city. Although the weather is forecast to be fine I will have to be very careful when choosing a landing site as the fields will still be pretty soggy, particularly the gate ways. So look out for our "House of Fraser" hot air balloon flying high in the sky this w/e.
